Jocelyn Randolph
Creativity has been with me for as long as I can remember. As a child, I wrote poetry about my best friend, a German Shepherd-Lab mix named Thunder. I painted hearts and red roses blowing away in the wind on old shoeboxes because my own heart was breaking. At the time, art was the only way I knew how to express that. I played piano, sang, danced, and even as a baby, I loved sitting in the grass, quietly taking in the world around me.

As I grew older, creativity became even more central to my life. My poetry evolved to explore themes such as love, abuse, and power dynamics. My once-generic hearts transformed into portraits of pain or depictions of the people I love deeply. And I still dance and sing as if no one is watching. I remain an observer of the world and of life.

With great humility and reverence for the title, I consider myself a multidisciplinary artist. I don’t restrict myself, my curiosity, or my creative exploration. I hope you enjoy my gallery. It’s only a small sample of my work, and I’m always creating new bodies of work that I hope to share with the world one day.
